Bach published The Goldberg Variations, a set of thirty variations on an aria for keyboard, in 1741. Variations Continued is a guilty musical pleasure. Three additional variations; almost three centuries later, after the impressionists, the minimalists and the revolutions that followed both movements. 

 

This set of pieces, composed in 2021 for solo piano, borrows some of the musical cells of Bach’s original work, yet rather than a reinterpretation or recomposition, it is really a continuation of his initial ideas and intentions – providing a rest to sleepless nights – through the language of the 21st century.
