Sketches gathers all of Roberto Ventimiglia's flute quartets. It is the main word featured in the title of the first six pieces of this project, and is also the aim of it; to conceive a sketch as the creative process’s final output.

 

Half of Sketches was first born as mere operatic piano sketches and then reconstructed into a concert suite, whilst the other half being only gathered in a multi-movement chamber work later on.

Andy Findon’s incredible multi-instrumental work on the flute is a fascinating tour de force!
