Omakase brings Chef Yusuke Yamamoto’s food and culinary experience together with Doug Thomas’ sonic and musical explorations. Doug composed three pieces inspired by the chef’s signature dishes, each created to accompany, reflect and complement the dishes.

Doug and Chef Yamamoto met while working on a task force for Four Seasons Yacht 1 and immediately connected on many levels. Their intention is to bring this immersive experience to Chef Yamamoto’s own food counters and develop it further within the omakase experience.

Doug has written extensively about the relationship between food, wine and music, and has previously created encounters between the worlds of wine and music through projects such as Catalogue de cépages. This project is therefore a natural step forward for Doug.
