Klangriket (aka Fabian Rosenberg) is a Swedish artist and multi-instrumentalist whose works distinguish themselves with the use of everyday objects, describing and illustrating everyday life. His latest single—Koltrast, which is Swedish for blackbird—was released on March 25th, 2018.

 

A musical parenthesis, Koltrast has a immediate sorrowful quality. As a very personal piece, it captures all the emotions and feelings that are associated to grief. Klangriket uses a tasteful balance between music and silence, allowing the listener to feel the human nature and intimacy of the piece. With very little material, Klangriket stripes his music from all the unnecessary and focuses on the heart of his message.
