Isle of Dogs is a two-sided release intended to portray how context affects creation and, ultimately, the finished product. Based on a piece entitled Abstract, it consists of a set of instructions for the performer to follow and interpret, composing on the spot.

The first side of the release is the live performance, part of the Piano Space concert series, recorded at the premiere of the series on the Isle of Dogs, London. The second side is the studio performance of the same piece, recorded earlier that afternoon, prior to the live performance. The result is two contrasting pieces, displaying how the energy of an audience and the intimacy of the studio can lead to two very different works.
