DYLAN KAY

Dylan Kay is a slide guitarist and composer crafting genre-defying instrumental music grounded in tonal exploration and improvisation. His sound balances structure and spontaneity, drawing listeners into a sonic landscape that’s both raw and refined.

Rooted deeply in the blues, jazz, rock, and experimental traditions, Dylan’s work is driven by feel, tone, and creative discovery. Now based in New Zealand, he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston—where he learned with slide innovator David Tronzo—and the Guitar Institute in London, where he later taught for many years.

Dylan has performed everywhere from intimate restaurants to London’s O2 Arena, and today, alongside running a thriving guitar school in Auckland, he continues to compose, perform, and record his music.
