Blazdell X Thomas (BXT) is the final project to be released for the ten-year anniversary of NOOX. A reflection of the first five years of the label, this project focuses on Doug Thomas’ piano music throughout the years. With the intention to show both the history and the growth, not only of Doug’s music, but also of NOOX, in mind — all the pieces have been reworked by Tim Blazdell, embedding them with the strong identity of Tim’s inventive textural sonic techniques. Each works morphs into a new version of itself; far from the modern idea of remixing, BXT is a project that allows Doug’s pieces to evolve into new selves, for some, ten years after they were created. Altogether, this new narrative created through BXT is a statement on its own, and the wonderful meeting of two artistic spirits.
