“Archetype” is a piece for solo piano written in the winter of 2020-21 by the Swedish musician Christian Wannerwall. In his words, it comes from deep inside his own heritage, his relatives, something he had inside himself for years and that has finally burgeoned.

The melodic shape of the piece is interesting as it never seems to find an even way to settle, rather it keeps surprising by moving out of place and returning, creating only an illusion of balance.

“Archetype” is the second piece from Christian Wannerwall to be added to the NoOx catalog.
